How to Clean Pyrolysis Carbon Black (rCB) Before Grinding

1. Coarse Foreign Matter Removal

  • Use overband cross-belt magnet to remove bulk steel wires and iron fragments directly from raw rCB output.
  • Apply rotary vibrating screen to sieve out large rubber chunks, textile fibers, tire cord debris and oversized agglomerates.

2. Air Classification Winnowing

  • Adopt dry airflow winnowing machine to separate light impurities like fluff, dust and loose ash.
  • Remove floating light waste without changing carbon black physical properties.

3. Material De-Agglomeration Loosening

  • Use low-speed dispersing crusher to break hard rCB blocks into loose powder.
  • Eliminate caking caused by pyrolysis cooling and stacking, ensure uniform feeding for grinding.

4. Pre-Grinding Fine Magnetic Iron Removal

  • Install high-strength neodymium magnetic separator before feeding bin.
  • Remove fine micro iron powder and magnetic wear impurities in advance, protect grinding roller, liner and classifier.

5. Low-Temperature Moisture Drying

  • Control raw rCB moisture below 3% via hot air drying.
  • Avoid sticky material blocking grinding chamber and reduce finished product moisture content.

6. Heavy Impurity Gravity Sorting

  • Remove sand, stone and heavy inorganic ash by specific gravity separation.

Core Cleaning Purpose

  1. Protect grinding equipment from wear and damage
  2. Improve finished rCB purity and reduce ash content
  3. Stabilize grinding efficiency and uniform particle size distribution
  4. Cut later refining and purification costs

Simplified Standard Flow

Raw rCB → Coarse iron removal → Vibrating sieving → Air winnowing → Block loosening → Fine magnetic separation → Drying → Feeding to grinding mill
